Dr. Diane Smith, the founder of Across the Board Education LLC, is motivated by the belief that every student deserves an exceptional education that equips them with essential life skills. She specializes in impactful psychoeducational assessments and consulting, expertly identifying and addressing learning challenges for K–12 students and adults. Her mission is to empower students and parents with the insights and strategies necessary for success.
My Approach: From Diagnosis to Empowerment
With a doctorate from Harvard University and personal experience as a student with learning disabilities, I know firsthand that misconceptions can limit potential. I’m here to change that narrative.

Having the exposure to teachers who believed in me and gave me experiences early on that broadened my horizons made me realize I wanted to be that kind of teacher one day for my students, which led to my pursuing several degrees in higher education, including an Ed.D., to prepare to work effectively with children with learning disabilities.”

Diane holds certifications as a Remedial Reading and Language Arts Teacher, Special Education Teacher, and Elementary Teacher, complemented by extensive experience in professional development and acting as a consultant for state education agencies.
